Anzac Biscuits, named after the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC), have a rich history with the Australian and New Zealand army going back to World War 1. The story goes that Anzacs were sent by wives to soldiers during the war because the ingredients do not spoil easily and kept well during transportation. In addition, Anzacs Biscuits were also known as "Soldier's Biscuits" and were often sold at fundraisers to raise money for troops in war, and to this day are often used as a fundraising item for the Royal New Zealand Returned Services' Association (RSA) and the Returned and Services League of Australia (RSL). Known to be a sweet biscuit, is a healthy treat made of all natural ingredients, contains no vegetable fats (including palm oil), colours, preservatives.
